Why apply for Canadian PR?
Canada PR eligibility
Canada PR requirements To qualify for a Canada PR visa, you need to score a minimum of 67 points based on various eligibility factors like age, education, work experience, language proficiency, etc. The higher your score, the better your chances of receiving an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian PR. Here’s a breakdown of the key factors:
Step 1: Check your eligibility for Canada PR Use our points calculator or submit your CV for a free assessment. If you score 67 points or more, you may qualify to apply for Permanent Residency.
Step 2: Get your Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) If you completed your education outside Canada, you’ll need an ECA from an approved agency to verify that your foreign degree, diploma, or certificate is equivalent to a Canadian qualification.
Step 3: Take a language test Demonstrate your proficiency in English or French by taking a recognized language test like IELTS, CELPIP, or TEF. Aim for a high score to boost your points on the eligibility grid.
Step 4: Create your Express Entry profile Submit an online profile through Canada’s Express Entry system. This profile includes details about your skills, work experience, language ability, education, and other factors. Your profile is ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), and high-ranking candidates are invited to apply for PR.
Step 5: Receive your Invitation to Apply (ITA) If your CRS score is among the highest, you’ll receive an ITA during one of the regular Express Entry draws. You’ll then have 60 days to submit your PR application.
Step 6: Submit your Canada PR application Complete your PR application and submit it along with all necessary documents, including your ECA, language test results, work experience letters, proof of funds, police clearance, and medical exam results.
Step 7: Get your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) After your application is processed and approved, you’ll receive a COPR and a permanent resident visa (if required). You can now prepare to move to Canada!
